Why It Matters: The Delaware REALTORS® Care Foundation

The Delaware REALTORS® Care Foundation was created in 2021 with a simple idea in mind: when members of our community face hardship, REALTORS® should be there to help.

While REALTORS® are best known for helping people buy and sell homes, the Care Foundation reflects another important part of the profession—supporting the communities where we live and work. Life can change quickly due to a natural disaster, serious illness, or another unexpected event. When those moments happen, the Foundation is there to provide help when it’s needed most.

The Delaware REALTORS® Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance to Delaware REALTOR® members and supports community relief efforts across the state. For REALTOR® members who may face sudden personal hardship, the Foundation can offer financial assistance to help with immediate needs and provide stability during a difficult time.

The Foundation also supports community organizations that respond when disaster strikes. Groups like the American Red Cross and other charitable partners play an important role in helping families and communities recover after emergencies, and the Care Foundation helps strengthen those efforts through financial contributions.

At its heart, the Foundation exists because REALTORS® care about the well-being of their neighbors and colleagues. It’s one more way the Delaware REALTOR® community gives back and helps ensure that support is available when people need it most.
