Recent communications released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) may impact our industry in Delaware, and DAR is watching closely. The CDC now considers all three Delaware Counties to have “substantial” rates of virus transmission. This places us within the constraints of both the moratorium and masks. This page will be updated with specific items of interest or impact for the industry as needed. For general statewide news updates on COVID-19 and Delaware pandemic resources, click here.

VICTORY ON EVICTION MORATORIUM
UPDATE: The U.S. Supreme Court has ended the CDC’s eviction moratorium, giving much-needed relief to America’s small housing providers facing financial hardship for more than a year. In a 6-3 ruling, a majority of justices agreed that the stay on the lower court’s order finding the CDC’s eviction moratorium to be unlawful was no longer justified. Read more.
masks are back
The CDC is recommending that everyone in areas with high COVID-19 infection rates wear masks in public indoor places regardless of vaccination status. Please note that there is currently no mask mandate in Delaware.
Know that DAR and NAR are closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and we’ll let members know if there will be any new impacts.
We encourage all members who are unvaccinated to get the vaccine and to get tested as necessary. Maintain good habits when meeting with clients including proactively wearing a mask in close situations.
