Jan's community focus is on "People Helping People," an organization that recognizes community heroes every week in the Community News Publications newspaper. Charitable events sponsored by "People Helping People" include an annual golf tournament to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Another recipient of "PHP" is Junior Achievement of Delaware. Jan and her team choose to support JA's Finance Park, where students learn to "purchase their home."
